My journey into jewellery-making began at a very early age and deepened as I grew older into a deep fascination for the transformation of raw materials — the alchemy of metal and stone into something precious, personal, and lasting. After working commercially whilst exploring various other creative paths, I took the step of formal training at Melbourne Polytechnic, completing an Advanced Diploma in Jewellery Manufacture & Design. It was here that I truly found my métier.

As a Goldsmith, I work by hand, using traditional tools and time-honoured techniques. I choose not to work with CAD or Lost Wax casting — instead, I begin with granules of gold, alloy them to the desired carat, and shape every wire and sheet myself. Each piece is forged, soldered, filed, and finished at the bench, with intention and care and is one off piece.

But while the making begins with my hands, it always ends with you — the wearer.

Every piece I create is made with someone in mind, even if I don’t yet know who. I imagine how it will be worn, how it might feel against the skin, what meaning it might carry. Jewellery is intimate. It becomes part of you, your story, your memory. And if I've done my job well, it may one day be passed down, carrying that story forward.

My work is not about trends or perfection — it’s about connection. The quiet beauty of something handmade, thoughtfully designed, and made to last.
