From Peta McDonald Drawing
Drawn by Peta McDonald

This signed giclée print is produced on beautifully textured archival paper using high-quality pigment inks, ensuring vibrant colour and resistance to fading over time. The original artwork was created with coloured pencil on smooth hot press watercolour paper.

Each print includes an additional white border, making it easy to frame and display. Watermark will be removed.

Zebra finches are adorable little birds native to the drier regions of Australia. They are typically found in large flocks, sometimes numbering in the hundreds. Their high-pitched calls signal their approach as they descend to the ground to busily eat grass seeds or drink from pools of water. Male and female Zebra finches are quite distinct in appearance. The male sports an orange-brown cheek patch, a delicately striped black-and-white throat and upper breast (not visible in this drawing), and bright rufous feathers with white spots along the flank. In contrast, the female has more subdued grey tones in her plumage. These charming little finches are sure to melt your heart if you ever encounter them in the wild.
